RE: Addio Totò, idolo di un'estate indimenticabile - Goodbye Totò, idol of an unforgettable summer [Multilanguage]

Among this great players you mentioned, the only one I could remember is Roberto Baggio. I remember I was still young then when I watched him play in U.S.A. 94.

From your description of “Toto”, he’s indeed an excellent player. It’s so unfortunate his life was cut short by the illness. His name has been written in the sand of time and he will definitely remain in the hearts of everyone!

May his gentle soul rest in peace…

He was called the bomber ‘out of nowhere’. In one year he went from Serie B to Juventus to playing in the World Cup and becoming the tournament's top scorer and a character destined to be remembered forever. An incredible parabola that certainly even he had never hoped to accomplish.
He was a great friend of Roberto Baggio. At Juventus they were room-mates during away matches, but one day they quarrelled, because of a joke Baggio played on Schillaci.
Schillaci, as a good Sicilian, had a hot temper and punched his friend, but that was the end of it and they made peace immediately.

They even spoke about him today on our national news during the sports session.. indeed he’s a great player!
