My first time seeing this type of flooring…the light blue stuff on the floor, what is it?
There are two types of insulation involved: the light green foil between the dry fill and the slab covering - this serves to reduce the impact sound when walking on the floor, and the light blue strip at the edge of the floor between the wall and the edge of the floor slab - as the slabs are laid ‘floating’, i.e. movable on the fill, the sound bridge to the wall is interrupted by the edge insulation strip.
