THE DREAM AFTER THE DREAM

by William M. Peaster

It is the dream after the dream
where you jumped from atop the mountain;
the morning sun compromises your crawl
up the valley as each pebble beneath you
is signed wordless in blood. Though
as the dawn grows, so too do the pebbles,
which then become boulders, which become
whole mountains anew.

Awesome! This is REBIRTH and REGENERATION exquisitely posted! Voted up.

Thanks kindly my friend!!!

I feel in this poem, the gravity of the climb. including the bruises, the sweat, the struggle to breathe as the air gets thinner as you ascend the monstrous mount. And I feel you breathing deeply once you make it to the top just to jump off and fly away, which you can do since its a dream. I hope you write more about what happens to us in the dream or your dream experiences.

Nice! Will look forward to your posts!
