ULOG day3- Busy weekend, garri processing.

Good evening friends, it's still your home girl Kemikay, sure you all had a fulfilled day.

It's my Ulog day3 and I want to share with you all how my weekend went..... All thanks to our boss@Surpassinggoogle
for this awesome platform.

Weekend was a very busy one for myself and siblings, mummy said she wouldn't be buying garri again for months since we have cassava in our farmland....she suggested we processed garri at home,i didn't welcome the idea at first since I know the stress of processing garri at home but I couldn't alter her decisions since she's the second in command😂😂.

On Saturday morning, she woke us up as early as 6am, we went to harvest the cassava in the farm as seen in the pictures below, came back home and then began peeling them.... We were done with the peeling within an hour.IMG_20180707_101008.jpg

After peeling, we washed them very clean, took them for grinding and removal of toxic water...... A little palm oil was added to it after grinding to make it look a little reddish and enticing when fried.IMG_20180708_144558.jpg....above are the four bags after grinding and removal of water.

The actual frying took place today, as you can see, myself with my siblings... Even my brothers too were involved 😂😂,yes! no one was left out in the making...the guys helped to sieve the garri while the ladies did the frying proper. We used firewood in frying.... Mum bought four bundles of itIMG_20180708_144638_1.jpg

It took us hours to get it all done but thanks to God we fried everything amidst the heat from the fire and other stress.IMG_20180708_175542.jpg IMG_20180708_175801.jpg

Yaaaaaah, these is the after result, fresh home made garri came through, mum gave some portion of it to our neighbors and extended family members.......it was well a nice but stressful experience. IMG_20180708_224715.jpgIMG_20180708_224708.jpg
