Merriman Falls (Quinault Rainforest Area) in Washington

in #travel6 years ago

The biggest waterfall in the Quinault Rain Forest area is Merriman Falls, which is around 42 feet in height. The falls can be seen just from the side of the road and requires a hike of only a few yards. So a week and a half ago @haileyscomet and I walked down and enjoyed the falls for lunch. This would be our last waterfall in this area as we prepared to move campgrounds, closer to Seattle.

One cool thing was it started to drizzle, so we found shelter in a natural little cave made from moss and giant tree roots and enjoyed a nice toke of medicine as we just listened to the water flow. This is an easy must see if in the area as it is so simple to get to and so beautiful!
