🇻🇳 VIETNAM #4: NHA TRANG + animated GIFs

in #travel7 years ago

A year ago (december 2016) I travelled to Vietnam for three weeks together with a good friend of mine, Lars. In these series you can read about our adventures!

VIETNAM #2: HA LONG BAY

We woke up early in the train, because the local Vietnamese people in our cabin were already up at 6 am...
I didn't mind though, but Lars suffered a medium morning sickness due to the hard bed, which was actually just a wooden shelf with a 3cm layer of foam.

Did I also mention it was really tight - we couldn't even sit up straight... LOL

Anyways, when we arrived on the train station, we were engulved by taxi drivers all claiming to bring us everywhere we needed. We ignored them and hailed a taxi further down the way.

Nha Trang is a city with a long boulevard, with big hotels and there are a lot of tourists - mainly Russian though. There also is a nice site seeing, the Cham Towers:

That night we also went to a beach party, which was pretty fun!

On the second day we snuck into a fancy big five-star hotel - we just acted like we were guests and went to the swimming pool to try to swim our hangover away...

Fun fact: we slipped through te reception and went to the elevators (as if we were normal guests) but we needed a hotel key to activate the elevator. Fortunately other guests accompanied us and we were able to go to pool. Upon registering the pool guy asked which room number, so we said 13, but that number didn't exist 😅, so we then said "oh sorry, I meant 113" - but that room didn't exist either LOL. The guy discretely told us to go get our key in the locker room, so we all went to the locker room to find our non-existing key, and after that we found out he only wanted some bribery 🤣, so we paid him...

We didn't do much worth mentioning that day besides chilling... but the next day we traveled with two Easy Rider Bikers to Mui Ne, which is really worth your money, so stay tuned for the next "stop"!

Too bad it was rainy, but that made it quite the adventure though!
