[WORK] #03 Driver Working System

In case that we are about 100 km to German border and we are working at his market our driver works in a little bit specific system.

Not 3 for 1 or something like that. Start at Sunday evening loaded truck to Germany. Unloading at monday in the morning and also at monday next fight with loadings. We are export mostly garden accesories, empty pallets, exhibition stands but also electronics like TV's, dashbord to Ford werks and many many other wird things. It is showing that Poland isn't so developed as Germany but I see huge improved. We are big provider of mounting parts. Also export of wooden things is very good in Poland.

At German site it is a different story. Here we are mainly delivering car parts to production and assemble companies or electronics. If you want to make money there are mostly these things. Pieces of aluminium and penauts in big bags are finality (I do not know if it is a good word...) or settle the case of cabotages.

Cabotages - in huge simplification there are max 3 transport in foreign country, then you must deliver something without this country. It can be NL to DE nevermind but it isn't the subject of this post.

Till Friday drivers are fighting with these work and at friday they should be in his houses. That is all when we are talking about theory.
Driver want to be in home as fast as it possible. I understand this. He want to rest and charge batteries with family to prepare for next sunday start.

System is good for first look but during the all week there are lot of things that can delay return to home. Reunions are different. Transport is specific. One of this specific thing is working time. Sometimes there are a lot of different things that can delay unloading or loading time. Then we have problems. Truck must ern money for leasing, charges and other costs. Week for week truck must make specific earnings. It is easy to find what does it mean. - come back in Saturday what for mostly drivers is a problem. I understand this because this isn't good weekend.... Of course pause is longer till monday but is this a plus? All household has his own plans and life....

Summarizing I am working in this proffesion over 2 years. At the begining of my career I wounder this proffesion a little bit different. It is shows that isn't only making different projects and delivery orders but also and mainly contact with other person. Contact with driver - he must be glad of work, Contact with client - If it is better then you will get better payment, contact with boss, fighting with drivers and his characters wchich aren't so good, fighting with truck services wchich are permanently over worked.....

A lot of quests but mostly when you will work a little it is turn out that this work is monotony. In 95% cases we are working the same things at all days. Similar transports, same clients, familiar faces or more surenames in huge tranport exchange - polish or german. Slowly I am making my opinion that all works are monotony. Of course situations in transport or at road will be surprising all the time but all the time the same work ;)
