According to the neighbors of the deceased, the boy always tried to help them and was a hero during his lifetime.
11-year-old Anthony Perez died, trying to save his 12-year-old friend who fell through the ice on a frozen lake in Queens. The tragedy occurred when the children walked in the forest park around four in the afternoon, the New York Post reported.
According to a source in the law enforcement agencies, Anthony was on land when Juan Umperiures went on the ice and failed. The boy immediately ran to a friend to help and pulled him out, but he could not get out of the icy water himself.

When the rescuers took Anthony out of the water, the child was no longer breathing. The ambulance gave him artificial respiration and was rushed to the hospital, but it was too late. Neighbors of the deceased say that Anthony was really a good person.

While Anthony was trying to get out of the water, two rescuers also fell through the ice. Now they are in the hospital with hypothermia. The ice was so thin that it could be pierced by hand.1x6.jpg1x7.jpg
