My journey giving back to the society #2

in #teammalaysia7 years ago

As a parents, we believe in giving back to the society as a family.

Indeed, we wanted to instill good value in our daughter's heart as early as possible. So, whenever we have the opportunity to be involved in the charity event, as often as possible she will definitely tag along.

During that time she was barely three year old, besides the walk (actually it was us half running and walking by pushing her prem), she was also excited because she too helping up with the custom making, her 'waist belt' was made from her own toys.

(See, how we walked with our daughter's prem)

Three years later, for her birthday, instead of getting gifts, out of her own initiative, she wanted to use her ' ang pau' money to buy food and stationary for the less fortunate children in the one of the NGO centre (Hope worldwide centre).

Today, my daughter already a middle school kid, she definitely has a long way to develop all the good value in life. Somehow, we were very glad, at three year old, she has started her first baby step to give back to the society.

Very inspiring. This is the kind of value we want to instill in our children; to care for others and not just their own wants. I am yet to practice what you did, somehow it is not happening for our family yet. But in 2018 I hope to change that.

Thanks @colouringiship. Yes, let's do it together in 2018!!

Thank you, @azmamzulkiply. Good to see you here.
