Earth awaits a "mini ice age"!

in #sun7 years ago

US scientists have concluded that the mid-century will see the start of the minimum phase of the activity of the sun, where the temperature will drop to the ground.

Scientists at the University of California, San Diego, according to Phys.org, suggest that declining sun activity will lead to global warming, but that does not mean global warming is stopped.

The research, published in the journal Astrophysics, revealed the information and data collected by the International Ultraviolet Explorer telescope over the past 20 years, working in the ultraviolet range and measuring the sun-like radiation to see conditions before the start of the minimum phase of its activity. Activity is predictable by the formation of sunspots.
According to the researchers, the probability of starting the minimum solar activity soon is very likely, but the heat drop will not be severe and will not modify the warming of global warming.

Astronomers believe that this will be a repeat of the minimum of "Mwander", which occurred in 1645-1715 and marked by the lack of sunspots. Some experts associate this phenomenon with the advent of a "mini ice age", which will cause global temperatures to drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius.
