Summer is almost over and the beginning of classes is fast approaching. It is a very unfortunate moment for us, students, who are still wanting for more summer vacation. So to seize every remaining days of summer, my relatives decided to go for a 2-day summer escapade.

Actually, it is a sudden decision. My Uncle Charlie from Manila, and his wife, Aunt Gladys together with their adopted child, Angel, decided to visit us last week for a vacation. It was a surprise visit so we aren't really prepared for that getaway. But, indeed, unplanned getaways are the best and most memorable ones.

May 20, 2018 - when they arrived at our house in Patin-ay and gave us our pasalubong. We were all happy because of the gifts we have received but beyond all those material things, my mama Charity, Uncle Charlo, and my Lola Tita (she's not my tita okay? Her name is Tita) were overjoyed because, finally, they have seen my Uncle Charlie after almost 5 years.

They stayed for 2 days in our house before going to Los Arcos, the hometown of Aunt Gladys, to also visit her family there.

May 25, 2018 - it is the day that we were all waiting for, the first day of our SUMMER GETAWAY! Beforehand, they were already planning about our trip and where will we go. Me and my sister were away because of the Kiddie Summer School that our church initiated, together with @creyestxsa94, @acelfaith, @melvz, @ilaylauvs and our other church mates, so we don't have any updates about the trip. We were informed when we came back home. And they said that we are going to Sarnimian Inland Resort Corporation!

Sarnimian Inland Resort Corporation is located at Poblacion, Rosario, Agusan del Sur. It is just so easy to locate it. You just have to follow the National Highway going to Davao City and when you have entered the municipality of Rosario, you will see a placard saying "Welcome to Sarnimian Inland Resort Corporation". Looks easy, right?

Everyone was having the time of their lives as we all enjoyed in the massive swimming pools with slides and other recreational activities like the sky cable, sky biking and zip line. So when we went home, our bodies were all exhausted and our skin was burned. But we can't all deny that fact that we have enjoyed it all.

May 26, 2018 - The second day of our summer getaway! From chlorinated water, they have decided to swim in the cold fresh water of the majestic Bega Falls.

Bega Falls is located at barangay Mabuhay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. To go there, you have to travel the National Highway and turn to Awa Junction (see the green pin on the map).

If you are coming from Butuan City, you can take a bus bound for Davao and tell the driver to drop you off at Awa Junction in Prosperidad. From Butuan, Prosperidad is the town right after Bayugan City. If you are coming from Davao City, you can take a bus bound for Butuan City and tell the conductor to drop you off at Awa Junction in Prosperidad. From Davao, Prosperidad is the town right after San Fancisco (San Franz).

If you have your car, you better hire a tour guide so that you won't be lost hehe. After reaching the Awa Junction, you have to travel almost 20 minutes to reach the receiving point of Bega Falls in barangay Mabuhay where you will be oriented by the tourism staffs and will be given life vests if you want to. Then, you will head to the entrance of the falls and walk 390+ steps in the stairs going down to the falls.

When you have reached the last step, you will immediately see the level 3 of Bega Falls.

Ascending to the level 2 of the falls requires more effort because you have to walk on a muddy footpath just to get there.

Along the way you will see smaller falls.

Walking further the footpath, you will finally see the level 1 of Bega Falls - the largest of them all. It can be compared to Tinuy an Falls and Maria Christina Falls because of its massiveness.

Swimming in the ice cold waters of the falls, is such a feeling that you can't forget. Watching the whole scenery of the place is very relaxing, especially to those people who want to free their mind from stressful situations. So Bega Falls is a very perfect place to unwind.

When we got home, we were very, very tired from all the walking and we had our skin burned. But it is very worth it. I had another memorable moment together with my relatives, which I know will happen once in a blue moon. And just like a blue moon, it happens very rare but is always worth it. :)
