I like what Vortex is trying to do, but we are still very much better off running a solar system which is dependent on sun than wind. Wind turbines work best at windy location.
The principle of its operation is aerodynamics, making most wish they paid more attention to that physics class. Lol
When you say we, that is an Unofficial Generalization.
You must have forgotten not every one has more Sunshine like Africa and some other Continents, so we are not better of with Solar; it is best to have alternatives to Solar for those in Icy/Windy regions.
Yeah, it is a generalisation of sorts. I'm only making a case for Nigeria. You would agree we have more sun than wind in most part of the country. Also, a friend ran his MSc on the comparative study of wind and solar power in Nigeria and Sun came up on top. It is a great technology, but given an option to chose between wind and solar, I'd pick solar without thinking, if the use place is Nigeria.
Well, this ain't about "Just One Country"
I know. We are really saying the same thing in different words. It is a great technology. But in terms of efficiency, in Nigeria, solar will come up on top. This is generally speaking, some location may have Vortex on top too. I'm just a 100% Nigeria who likes to think Nigeria in everything. I think I may be a little obsessed. Lol.
