Upvotes per post going down on Steemit?
Hey Steemers!
Is it just me or has anyone else seen this? Over the past week I have noticed that my average upvotes per post has gone down, coupled with the reduction in voting power this is a bit disconcerting (not a complaint as I love Steemit)!
I'd say that I'm at 25% of where I was last week in terms of upvotes and dollar value. I hope this doesn't drop more!
I have read somewhere that it depends upon STEEM Price and also it reduces as the number of STEEMS per day are limited and it gets shared with others.
Yes that makes sense, if more people are sharing the same amount of Steem it can only go down, I think this must reach equilibrium soon :)
No, I don't think it will reach equilibrium but if price of STEEM goes up then we'll benefit :-)
I guess its all about steem price
I don't think it's related to the price of Steem, I'm thinking more users = more posts = less steem to go around :)
yeah we just need to wait until all the noobies are comfortable enough in the technology for them to invest in some steem power of their own.
Could be the case, Steemit can only go uphill from here - just want to make sure I'm on board ;)

it is tied to the steem price. and if there is someone getting huge votes on their posts, it takes away $$ from all our posts.
there is onne thing you should think about. the more our payouts decline the better, it means that there is more and more people signning up and joinning steemit.
the steemprice is stable at 1.6 to 1,8 USD so I think atm we see -> HF 19 adjusting now, votingpower recharging of many useers, new userss joininng, so nothing to worry about !

Have a look at my very recent post (posted less than half an hour ago). I discuss the possible impact. It might seem negative, but it might be positive also.
Interesting, I can see $100 Steem within 5 years if things continue at these levels and users continue to rise at the same rate. Would be good ;)
What is amazing is that someone found a way to make literature valuable on a blockchain. The mechanism that does this is the redistribution of value from the many to the few that have the quality necessary for such valuation.
Unfortunately I heard that hf19 undid this metric, and if my logic is correct then steemit could be on its way to becoming Facebook.
There is no way to turn steemit into Facebook though, and so steemit may simply lose value as a quality-of-mind engine.
The only thing left for it to be is a poor reflection of bitshares.
For evidence of this just look at the increase in sensationalism on the trending page.
