On the internal market, 1 STEEM was 0.94 SBD a few seconds ago, but I also saw it at around 0.93.

On Coinmarketcap,SBD was trading at $2.59, while STEEM took a dive and it was at $2.48 (after reaching $2.3 earlier).

As you can see from the 30 minutes chart on Bittrex, someone just sold around $1.4 million worth of STEEM, which obviously took the price down:

It's a bit unusual as in, almost always, SBD was pumping, making STEEM cheaper, but this time STEEM really got cheaper.

Wanna know when you're getting paid?

I know the feeling. That's why I created steem.supply, an easy to use and accurate tool for calculating your Steemit rewards

It's free to use, but if you think this is a useful addition, I'd appreciate your witness vote.

Thank you!

Hmmm, I don't know how to feel about this. I'm always investing my SBD to get more SP with bid bots and such. Obviously powering down is not a solution but, it would be the way of raising my account's value (powering down before the dip).

I won't do that, though. I've been preached and convinced that powering up is the way to go (although I do it indirectly through bid bots).

It seems a one-off sell-off, probably a whale cashing out. But don't believe me. Don't believe anybody, do your own thing :)

The bid bot that cashed out, thanks you for your contribution.

Are bid bots behind the recent big inflated bubble?

Aka, is this another reason Steemit needs bot regulations?

Imagine how one must feel funding these whales who are putting it all into BTC...smh...

Peace.

Those posts get voted down.

@cryptosharon You can grow your SP by selling SBD for STEEM and then power up.
See this my steps: https://steemit.com/steem/@luciancovaci/how-to-convert-sbd-to-steem-my-steps

I know how to do that :) I just prefer to power up through bid bots. They give me SP, I recover the SBD or a part of it and I get my posts promoted and more views. It's a win-win-win.

I know it, too :)

Whoa $1.4M in Steem sold? Must be a whale who is getting out.

Most likely an upvote bot cashing in on the profits.

I saw the raise in conversion rates just a few minutes ago and thought it may keep going. Given what you're showing that it was due to a massive sell, I don't think it will last long.

Orders at 0.9

It doesn't seem to have made much difference when I check in my wallter. 1SBD is still only getting me just over 1 Steem @dragosroua.
I got all excited about powering up there for a moment! 😁

Can be a better entry point for some new buyers.
$1.4M is too high. I wonder why he/she choose to go out.

Wow. This is one kind of interesting move for some of us who always wanna get cheap steem. Thanks for the info @dragosroua

That person knows something that we do not know.

Maybe it is somehow connected with pegging SBD to USD?

chestiile astea se intampla la toate monedele importante. vin balenele si fac modificari importante pe perioade scurte

yeah that's a huge dip in steem 0.94 really amazed
