Lamb Roast Dinner
My partners parents arrived at 2pm today as they are here for a couple of days, I got a Lamb roast out of the freezer last night and that was for dinner tonight.
At 2.05pm the oven was put on and the Lamb was seasoned with some salt n pepper, then into the oven it went.
The Fire pit was put on at 4pm while the lamb was cooking, potatoes pumpkin and kumera were also prepared to join the lamb.
While all that was going on my father in law joined me by the Fire pit for a pre dinner Bourbon n coke, actually we managed 3 x drinks each before dinner.
I was half cut😵💫
Here is the Lamb and potatoes pumpkin & kumera getting moved around/turned over etc, not long now 😋🤤
Not sure about you..but I LOVE MINT JELLY with lamb!
The lamb is now out of the oven and resting while the oven continues to cook the rest, now its time to cut the meat up.
Gotta have gravy which was made from scratch, on the right is the left over lamb which we are going to use tomorrow night for dinner.
We even had mashed potatoes plus the normal vegetables we normally have, so much yummy food.
So here is my Dinner tonight which was exceptional and i could eat it again, problem is i am full as.
It was great to spend the afternoon with our visitors and now we can relax tonight.

Today i also did the normal housework stuff and managed a 7k walk.
This has been my Lamb roast Thursday here in New Zealand.

I love lamb - definitely my favourite roast, cooked nice and slow. How many hours did you give it? I’d probably go 5+ if that leg’s as big as the photo makes it appear.
