Our Future is as Bright as our Faith in God

Isa 61:7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

I have heard many people that profess faith in God, say things that, for me, just don’t add up. People that think their life is over and they have not yet had their 40th birthday. “I lost my chance to be used by God!”

I took this photo yesterday as I was out for a walk.

This is what God’s specialty! To take an Impossible situation and make it possible. When everyone else can’t, He can. The great truth He answers prayer and our future is as bright as we are able to believe God for.

CONTEXT

Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Isa 61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

Will you give up and let the promises of God fall to the ground and go to your grave no fulfilling your purpose? Or will you believe God? Jesus quoted this passage when He began His earthly ministry. This ministry began then, but still lives on today.

Our possibilities are as endless as our faith in God.
