TRAINING OUR BOYS

together we serve the world.jpgOf the many times we hear of an abnormal behaviour in someone close or far from us, we begin to imagine what could have caused or led to such behavioural pattern.

One of the reasons have always been faulty and archaic ideologies, thought processes that eventually culminate to randy lifestyles. Especially on the African Soil and narrowing it down, I'd say the Nigerian soil.

One of these faulty ideology is the one that assumes that the male gender is in no need for training and retraining on how to be male. This assumption has left us to focus on the female gender so much that it has become a disservice to the males involved.

We take out every single opportunity we have to teach the feminine gender etiquette, table manners, respect for another(especially men), we also teach them how to comport themselves in public.

While our boys are left to chance and society to learn the basic skills that will help them in life and fast forward to a couple of years ahead, we expect them to become responsible and assume that they MUST have learnt how to be responsible. I ask, FROM WHERE?

Of all the disservice we do the male gender, some of the most damaging range from our negligence in teaching them,
*RESPONSIBILITY,
*THE MIND POWER

*DEALING WITH BAD AND PAINFUL EXPERIENCES,
*DEALING WITH THEIR SEXUALITY
*THEIR BODY DIFFERENCE
*RESPECT FOR EVERY GENDER
*SEX
*LIFE SKILLS & IMPORTANCE OF OWNING A CRAFT

*NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Yet at some point we expect them to know. HOW?

Asides not doing all of these, we make it worse by choosing not to listen to them, so they choose to bottle it all up in them. And it keeps eating them daily.

An unexpressed emotion will show itself through some habits and actions.
