With the start of training camp just about 72 hours away, Pitt football landed its second verbal commitment in five days when Matt Goncalves announced on Twitter he will join the 2019 recruiting class. AJ Woods, a cornerback from Maryland, did the same on Friday. At 6 feet 6, 305 pounds, Goncalves immediately becomes the largest player in the class and lone offensive lineman. He plays for Eastport-South Manor High School in Manorville, N.Y., in Suffolk County on Long Island.
