Three new Champions are born

UFC 217 is one of the greatest cards I've watched! It was a roller coaster ride from start to finish. We witnessed a young motivated fighter in Rose beat the greatest strawweight champion of all time. We saw a ferocious rivalry get settled between Dillashaw and Garbrandt. And we witnessed a legend win the UFC middleweight title!

Rose shocks the world

Rose shocked everyone tonight by dominating one of the greatest female fighters of all time. I expected Joanna to have a significant advantage in the striking department. But the 25-year-old American put my foot in my mouth. Rose looked cool and calm throughout the fight, out landing the polish Muay Thai specialist. Joanna came crashing down when Rose landed a fast and vicious left hand, that had Joanna crumple to the mat. She then pounced on Joanna and dropped bombs till the champion was forced to tap to strikes. This fight goes to show anything can happen in MMA. I expect these two Strawweights to meet again soon.

A rivalry get's settled between two former team mates.

This fight was straight up violence! You could smell the bad blood through your tv screen. Dillashaw and Garbrandt hate each other, and it showed throughout the fight. Flurries of strikes were thrown with bad intentions. Cody landed the first devastating punch of the match, dropping TJ at the end of the first round. Tj was visibly still hurt as he stumbled back to his bench. The second round was a different story though, as Dillashaw started landing his shots. Cody was floored early with a head kick but sprung back up immediately. Both men continued to land until Dillashaw ended it halfway through the second with a missile of a right hand. Garbrandt's leg's gave out, and TJ ends the fight with ground and pound. This fight was awesome, I can't wait for the inevitable rematch!

A legend returns

GSP looked phenomenal tonight! His striking was crisp in round 1, repeatedly tagging Bisping and ringing his bell. I started to worry in round 2 though when GSP started looking gassed and had a lackluster round. In round 3 I felt St-Pierre was close to being done. The French Canadian was cut multiple times while in Bisping's guard. St-Pierre had top control, but Bisping was causing more damage with those razor blade elbows from the bottom. The champ took his time cutting up GSP, then decided to get back to his feet. Bloodied but not beaten, St-Pierre pushed forward and timed a beautiful left hook that rocked the champ. He then rushed into the champ's guard and landed ferocious elbows. Bisping defended well until GSP took his back and sunk in a rear-naked choke. The Brit refused to tap and was put to sleep.

Do you think this is the best event in UFC history? Let me know! Thanks for reading.

What an immense set of results, I have the whole card to watch on DL, can't wait to watch it. I love a good stir up of champs in the UFC, makes it so much more interesting! In fact I am excited about watching as a write, right now, haha

It was insane! You're in for a treat!

I watched it last night, it was great to see all of those people to take the belts, a very cool calculated and humble set of champions. I prefer the fighters who let their fighting do the talking unlike all of the defeated!
