Is Jon Jones the biggest waste of talent in all of sports? Ufc president Dana White thinks so. Dana White on the TSN MMA SHOW this week was asked if Jones was the biggest waste of talent he knew. To which Dana replied.

“Ever…. ever, in all of sports, The guy is so talented and gifted, who knows what he would be doing now if he hadn’t ever got in trouble."

Now I have to disagree with Dana on his quote about all sports. But you could defiantly make the case for all of MMA.

Jones has looked phenomenal during his reign in the sport of MMA. He has an overall record of 22-1, 9 ko's, 6 submission and 7 decisions. His lone loss came from a controversial disqualification where he used 2 illegal elbows late in a fight he was dominating.

Jones possess some of the most naturally gifted attributes in the sport. He's tied with Stefan Struve for longest reach in the UFC 84.5 inches. Keep in mind Stefan Struve is a heavyweight and also 7 feet tall!

The man uses his reach extremely well, both in his striking and grappling. He was also only 23 when he won the Light Heavy Weight title, which made him the youngest fighter to win a title.

Jones has made all his fights look easy in my opinion, Besides his fight with Alexander Gustafsson .His fight with Gustafsson was a 5 round war, one of my favorite fights of all time. If you haven't seen it I highly suggest you watch it!

I would love to see a rematch between those two, but it appears that may never happen. Jon Jones was suspended after his big win over Daniel Cormier for testing positive for steroids. He could face a suspension of up to Four years.

This is not Jones first offence either. He has had a history of misconduct in his career. Here is a timeline of his offences

Nov. 24, 2011 – Jones is cited for loss of traction while pulling into an Albuquerque strip club. The vehicle Jones was driving was towed and Jones was arrested for driving on a suspended license. Charges were later dropped.

May 19, 2012 – Jones gets into a minor accident when he crashed his vehicle into a pole in Binghamton, N.Y., after partying that night with his two female passengers. Jones gets arrested after refusing a sobriety test. A few months later he was issued a $1,000 fine and his license is suspended for six months.

Aug. 23, 2012 – UFC cancels UFC 151 after Jones refuses to fight Chael Sonnen on short notice. It's the first time the UFC has canceled an event.

Aug. 4, 2014 – Jones and Cormier throw fists at a UFC 178 press event in a Las Vegas hotel. Jones is then fined $50,000 by the Nevada Athletic Commission and also had to complete 40 hours of community service.

April 27, 2015, Jones turns himself into local police after a hit and run that leaves pregnant women with a broken arm. Jones ran from the scene, marijuana was found in his vehicle. Jones is stripped of his title and suspended by the UFC.

March 29, 2016 – Jones is booked into county jail after violating his probation. The week before he was accused of drag racing.

July 6, 2016 – Jones is flagged for a potential doping violation by USADA and is pulled from his fight with Daniel Cormier at UFC 200.

As you can see Jones just can't keep out of trouble. The man is the most gifted fighter I've ever seen in this sport in my opinion. But there will always be those what ifs.

Maybe after his suspension, he will make a return, but will he be the same? Do you agree with Dana that he is the biggest wasted talent in all sports? Let me know in the comments! Also thanks for reading!

Dude was my hero... like a 20 year old world champion just destroying the best fighters... shame. I don't think he makes a come back. I think he's done.

Yes, I feel the same. I really wanted to see him fight at heavyweight especially after he called out Brock Lesner at UFC 214. Sucks we will probably never get to see it.

He waz poised to be better than Anderson Silva! Argument can even be made that he was.

Very true! Anderson is my favorite fighter of all time, but in my opinion Jones is the better fighter.
