Sociology is in common with anthropology and social psychology that investigates sub-group behaviors that examine small and highly separate societies.

One of the most important issues of contemporary sociology is to examine social structures and organizations, and to investigate the causes and effects of social changes. In this respect, sociology has to be closely related to economics and politics.

Sociology revolves between the research methods of experimental sciences and the tradition of finding only by thinking. Because the issues are complex. Social changes have political consequences. Therefore, the problems related to the aims and methods have not been solved.

However, the existence of problems that oppress all societies at all levels is beyond doubt. This also applies to social concepts.

Emile Durkheim and Max Weber are the two great pioneers of contemporary sociology. Anthropologists Bronislaw Malinowski and Alfred Radcliffe-Brown also influenced the development of sociology. The most influential sociologists of the post-World War II include pioneers such as William Summer and George Mead in the United States.
