PAY IT FORWARD

in #randomcotd7 years ago (edited)

So for today’s post I thought of doing something different thanks to a fellow stemian @khackett. She came up with a daily challenge to do a random act of kindness and to me this is why I love steem it!! There is so much positivity on this site. I want to do my part to spread the positivity.
Working in the storage buisness i come across a lot of people down on there luck. Today one of my tenets was rummaging through her car for recyclables and i thought it would be nice to give her our cans to make an extra couple bucks...

And boy was she happy! No pics of her cause I’m not about to post Sombody down on there luck. It’s amazing how little acts can change the world!!

So I encourage people to give @khackett a follow also do something nice for someone. With all the negative going on in the world we can wipe it away one act at a time!!! Let’s all come together and respect each other, because the powers at be wants us fighting and hating each other to keep us down.

Peace

This is awesome!! I Love it! Thanks for the shout out. 😁

You're so nice for commenting on this post. For that, I gave you a vote! I just ask for a Follow in return!

I think your better at articulating the message so it’s only befitting i do give you a shout out. Thanks for being cool about it, still figuring out this platform. I’ll make sure i try to spread the positivity as well 👍

Back in the day, places where you could paid for cans were everywhere, but now in my city, the only place I know of is to go all the way to the actual recycling facility in the industrial part of town near oil refineries and such. Ergo, cans now litter the landscape along with other trash because people don't collect them for cash. :( The metal is still worth money, but people down on their luck no longer get any unless they have a truck and collect loads to drive down to recycle. I'm glad people can still get paid for it where you are!

Yeah when i was in Las Vegas it was pretty bad as well in regards to finding a recycling facility and even if you did they paid crap! I live in California and the CRV (California cash redemption) is pretty decent. Thanks for stopping by with some cool input!

Oh, I wish we had a CRV. It would be nice both monetarily and environmentally.

Love this idea.

Steemit has changed my view of the world. It’s an exciting time!
