With Trump and Pence reiterating the George W Bush Apollo on steriods (hopefully they are going to use a clean needle) promise to return man to the moon, this is quite topical.

The most compelling part of "A funny thing happened on the way to the moon" was the video footage (starting @ 32:02) of Astronauts clearly in lower earth orbit, staging a scene to make it look like they were where they supposed to be on the date of the footage, halfway to the moon. Good luck providing an explanation for that one !

One day we may overcome the technical challenges involved in getting to the moon. But it isn't now, and it certainly wasn't back in the 60's.
