Jacob already you are seven months
the day you touched down was so clutch
Nice warm sunny Friday at Jax Beaches
at 3 months you were giving speeches

I know it was rough coming up from the jump
I was off my meds, your mom and I would bump heads
She couldn't see the mental change in me
That's why things are and they have to be

Son, know I love you I know you'll be great
Grow and live your life no matter what they say
Keep your eye on the prize at all times
Think with the right head, wrong one have'em dead

Jacob you'll excel far, there are no limits
When I was your age, I was shy and timid
Thank God you don't have to worry about that
I can see you now touching the world like that

Jacob keep your head up through tough times
Perseverance is needed for the tough grind
Be better than I was when coming up as a kid
