Once Upon A Time...

Yes it did happen. The days were old; the moon was dark; the sun was red. The earth was plain. The field grew paper. The world was so good to live in. Suddenly everything changed. Changed for the worst? No changed for the best.

Metamorphosis of creation. Everything was recreated. From the sand to the trees; from the chirping of the birds to the roaring of lions. Change happened. What has changed? Everything has changed but yet nothing really changed!

There is still life and death. There is still morning and evening. There is still sadness and joy. Everything seems to continue in its original form. Yes most would say, "nothing has changed." But why is it that the ocean is overflowing her shores? Why has the winter replaced the spring?

Oh yes and now our children cannot enjoy tales by moonlight. We used to dance and glaze the stars. What about hiding and seeking under the glare of a scorching moon. The fabric of our society has mutated to something indescribable.

Yet we all pretend that nothing has changed. Is there bliss in feigned ignorance? No. I believe that unnatural stupidity makes for longevity; it is quite soothing to pretend that all is well than to confront that callous nature.

The eagle has landed.
