Photo of the Day: whiskey Tullamore

in #photomag6 years ago

Hi there! I remember that today is traditionally the day of panoramic photography, but I wanted to break these rules a little and share with you, my friends, the results of my new experiment in shooting the subject. On Saturday, I managed to buy new glass glasses for photography, as well as a special dish for serving from slate, the size of as much as 30x50 cm, which can be used as a background, and I could not resist not to try to remove it all. Shooting lasted until midnight, but the result I was completely satisfied.

This time the choice fell on a bottle of whiskey Tullamore. I'll tell you about the main points of the shooting. Usually these bottles are shooted on a gleam, so first of all you need to prepare the bottle for shooting. We need to remove the back sticker so that it does not interfere with the passage of light. These labels are removed easily enough, you only need to put them on a damp cloth. Sometimes glue from excise stamps remains and it can be removed by means of a cotton swab and vegetable oil. Next, using a cloth made of microfiber, you should carefully wipe the bottle to get rid of any dirt on the glass, because in the light of flashes they will become very noticeable.

Use the background on a gleam to get a beautiful circular gradient. To do this, pull the light diffusing film on the frost frame and behind it put a flash with a snoot. On the right side put another frost-frame. Our task is to obtain a linear gradient and, as a consequence, a beautiful glare, as well as label lighting. To do this, put a flash with a strip box at an angle to the far edge of the diffuser. Then do doubles and adjust the power sources, as well as their position. And then do the final shot and processed it in Photoshop. That's what happened in the end. Let's go!

It doesn't taste half bad either.

Whiskey is for drinking not just looking at. 😎
