Swans - grace and fidelity

Swans are surprisingly beautiful and graceful birds. Specialists counted about six different species of swans. But did you know ....?

  Swans do not like to walk on the ground and mostly move on water.

  An adult bird, when attacked, is able to break a person's bones.

  In Britain, all swans belong to the queen and their captures are prohibited.

  Creating a couple, the swan lives for a long time, showing parental qualities and caring not only for eggs, but growing up kids, protecting them and getting food for them.

  The color of the swan depends on what climatic conditions they live in: in southern territories, its color becomes darker, and in colder countries swans are perfectly white.

  Swans have good eyesight. They see everything that happens under the water while they are swimming. This allows them to escape from underwater predators.

  These are just some amazing features of these birds. I'm sure there are actually a lot more of them. Let's wish this swan family a pleasant swim !!!
