One of my succulents is starting to bloom. It grows a large bloom from the plant core and in a few days all flowers will be open.
The only time of the year when this succulent grows flowers is when its extremely hot.

Some take years before blossoming for the first time.

Medium :Galaxy Note 4

Species : Haworthia

Subspecies : Fasciatta ( Not entirely sure about this)

Sort:

Nice! Any idea what the plant name is? I have a bit of a soft spot for succulents, they're really neat plants.

Yes, I believe its an haworthia fasciata, even though I'm not sure about the subspecies its definitely an haworthia. Added to post, thank you for asking.

Sweet! My focus is mainly on landscape ornamentals and edibles because of the work I do, so I'm only familiar with a few succulents. I've been trying to talk my boss into letting me put some sedum in but so far haven't had any luck.
