The Crab Nebula (M1) is a supernova remnant in the constellation of Taurus. Corresponding to a bright supernova recorded by Chinese astronomers in 1054, the nebula was the first astronomical object identified with a historical supernova explosion.

The nebula lies in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way galaxy, at a distance of about 6,500 ly from Earth. It has a diameter of 11 ly, and is expanding at a rate of about 1,500 kilometres per second, or 0.5% of the speed of light. (dixit Wikipedia)

To take this photo i used the following setup:
Scope: Skywatcher Black Diamond 200/1000
Mount: AZEQ6
Camera: Atik One 6.0

The total exposure is around 9 hours over 2 nights in november 2016. As my camera is black & white i use SHO color palette by stacking and mapping to RGB a combination of:

14 photos of 20 min flitering around Ha ray of Hydrogen
6 photos of 20 min flitering around OIII ray of Oxygen
6 photos of 20 min flitering around SII ray of Sulfur

I used the software Prism 10 to manage the capture, the pre-treatment (Removing offset, dark and flat). The stacking and the post-treatment was done with Pixinsight and at the end Photoshop.
