What kind of garden can you create?
A garden can be grown in anything and anywhere that is habitable for plants. This is something that I learned after visiting the Children's Garden at the Cleveland Botanical Garden. I have visited other gardens before like in China that are beautiful creations, but the Children's Garden stood out to me because it demonstrated how plants and flowers can be displayed with great beauty in any reused material. The garden can help anyone not only children realize how much they can create with their imagination and creativity. What garden can you create out of reused or recycled material?

The Tire Garden was one of my favorites because these old tires were just painted in bright colors and filled with soil to create a nice home for the flowers. It shows how simple creating a garden can be.

Dumpster Garden

A dumpster is usually thought as something dirty and disgusting because of typical things that are thrown in them, but if you take something that is known to be dirty and recycle it, you can create an aesthetically pleasing garden.

Toaster Garden

Do you have an old toaster lying around? If you do, look at what you can create! It might not be a delicious crunchy piece of toast, but you can add a little bit of soil to plant some flowers. Now you can have a little garden in your home!

If you don't have an old toaster, tire, or dumpster, look for something that no longer works for what it was meant to do. Things that can be considered broken are not necessarily of no use. You can use anything to create something totally new! Be creative and find a new purpose for something old or broken.
