BARBIE NEWS! Barbie Has Undergone Another Makeover.

Mattel has revealed a new look for Barbie. The Tomb Raider Barbie Doll will be released in March, with pre-sales available now. Barbie's new look is sure to get people talking - she is no stranger to controversy, in fact, for some she epitomises it.

The original design for Barbie was based on the German call girl Lilli, a comic character. Her representation was dictated by stereotypical gender roles, and an unrealistic aesthetic.

The latest Barbie design glorifies the mass-murdering action character Lara Croft and markets the character for younger audiences.

Some argue that Barbie is becoming more progressive, would you?
