When our family heard about the over crowding in our local shelter we initially went to just volunteer. But once we realized so many fur babies needed forever homes we really had no choice.

We searched for hours and met a dozen cats in a private room that the counselors put you in to see how you interact with each animal. DENVER DUMB FRIENDS LEAGUE will not rehome a pet to a family if it isn't a good fit. Which I believe os part of the reason they have a high success rate.

When we met Garfield his name was Olaf. He was excited to meet us and was very affectionate even more so than the other cats. He was older and also had a potty problem which meant that he might have had a tough time getting adopted. But we had faith that he would do great with us.

Garfield is almost 2 he has been with us for 2 weeks now. He hasnt had one accident and is literally the coolest dopest cat alive!!

We are not just grateful to have found this wonderful companion but it also feels great to help with the over population issue at the shelter. Please dont shop for your pets, adopting feels so much better i promise!!
