Nike has launched their new 'Just Do It' ad campaign for the year and the new face of it is none other than blacklisted quarterback and political activist, Colin Kaepernick.
The ad campaign has already generated massive attention from the media and caused conservative snowflakes to lose their collective minds.
You see there are actually people out there that have trouble understanding what Colin Kaepernick was protesting by taking a knee during the national anthem.
It's not because he didn't tell them. He did many times, but they just assumed he must be protesting the troops because he was doing it during the magic freedom flag song and all.
They never listened the many times he told them that the real reason for his protests was to bring attention to minorities being targeted and killed by police officers who then get paid vacations.
That's all it was ever about.
It wasn't about the flag or the troops at all.
Matter of fact he went from sitting to kneeling to show respect to the troops.
But the far right doesn't concern themselves with facts. No, they just cleanse the evil with fire.
These simpletons are actually burning perfectly good Nike shoes and clothing to show how pissed they are that Nike would dare use Kaepernick, the man who disrespected the magic freedom flag song, to be the face of their ad campaign.
Some people are even burning their Nike gear while they're still wearing it, bless their hateful hearts.
And yes, Nike's stock has dropped drastically but this ad campaign is a brilliant gamble.
You can't buy this kind of publicity, Nike isn't ran by stupid people, they know what they're doing.
That stock price will rebound don't you worry.
In the meantime Nike gets massive amounts of free publicity as the different flavored news media channels put their own spins on the ad campaign and beat it into the ground 24-7.
So Nike gets way more exposure than they ever would out of a regular ad campaign by tying themselves to Kaepernick and they also get the added bonus of getting to be on the right side of history on this particular point.
It's genius.
