Bitcoin Airdrop 2017

in #news7 years ago

Bitcoin Airdrop 2017 was announced, a series of events organized by Blockchain Education Network (BEN) in partnership with bitJob.

The first Bitcoin Airdrop event was held by the MIT Bitcoin Club in 2014 after the club raised $ 100,000 in donations to distribute among campus college students. The McGill Students Cryptocurrency Club continued the tradition the following year after receiving generous donations from the blockchain community. Bitcoin Airdrop has become an annual BEN tradition and has been held in cities around the world ever since.

Fintech's universities and communities in 11 regions have agreed to participate in the event cycle this year, including McGill University and the Richard Ivey Business School in Canada; UC Berkeley, Wake Forest University and St. Petersburg in the USA; University of Queensland in Australia; Trivandrum and Bangalore in India; St. Petersburg in Russia; And Puerto Rico and Colombia.

The first airdrop will begin on August 11 in Colombia and will be hosted by Jorge Pérez, director of BEN Colombia. The following event will then be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 16 August. Events continue on other campuses and cities until the group has distributed all donations. To see all dates and locations, go to the official website here.

The airdrop is being supported by Blockchain TV and BTC Media, by the digital identity startup DIID, and the development consulting firm MLG Blockchain.
