Music Makes You Braver: How Two Steps From Hell Unleashed a Hidden Talent

in #music7 years ago (edited)

I just wanted to share my Two Steps From Hell experience. I heard about the band in the past, but I started listening to their music a year ago. And I have to tell you that listening to them seems to have unleashed a hidden talent inside of me. This made me understand what they really mean by their slogan "music makes you braver".
In 2017, I had some free time after having launch at my work place, someday, sometime. I randomly listened to Two Steps From Hell - Magika. I found my hand grabbing a pencil and paper and I started drawing, sketching or whatever. During then, YouTube automatically moved me from one Two Steps From Hell music to another. My launch time was over and I was happy about my result at that point, but not confident since I have never had any interest in drawing/art before. Hence, I decided to continue my drawing at home while listening again to Two Steps From Hell. It took me a total of five hours to finish the drawing (below) while listening to Magika, Victory, Star Sky, Protectors of the Earth, Archangel and others for Two Steps From Hell. What drove me to draw the drawing below is the fact that Magika gave me some sort of image in my mind about ships, pirates and not to forget Assassin's Creed Black Flag.
Some say you need 10,000 hours to master a skills. I don't believe I am a master at all when it come to drawing, but I really never thought that I could do half of what you see below . . . instantly . . . just because of listening to music:
