Good day everyone, the topic I am going to discuss, is why the MCU needs Agent Venom.

Flash Thompson: Agent Venom

Background Summary:

As we all know Eugene Thompson, aka Flash Thompson, was Peter Parker's high school Bully. This was well established in all the versions of Spider-man movies, series and comic books over the years. In that same time Flash was one of Spider-man's biggest fans. Once Flash found out Peter was Spidey the two became best friends.

After High school Flash enrolled into the army and went to various missions, until one day when a mission went south and it cost Flash his legs.

Flash bonded to the venom symbiote when he enlisted to Project: Rebirth 2.0. The bond gave him the power and abilities of Venom. He also had to learn to control this new found power, as we all know venom has the tendency to take over the host and let them turn into a rage filled monster destroying everything which crosses its path.

Why Agent Venom?

Agent venom is a character with a tragic back story, from a kid with an alcoholic abusive farther, to a school bully. He then becomes a war hero, when you think this is the path for Flash, he then looses his legs and become an alcoholic. Finally he reaches his full potential, bonding with Venom to become the Hero Agent Venom. He also accomplishes the one thing Eddie Brock could never do and that is to bond perfectly with Venom, allowing Flash full control over Venom while using the agent Venom suit.

I feel this character has not yet seen his full potential in any of the Spider-man movies. We have seen a glimps of this future in The Amazing Spider-man as Flash shows Peter his Spider-man shirt, showing his idolization of the Hero.

Agent Venom is something different to your classic Venom, Flash wants to be a hero like Spider-man, this motivates him to do the right thing and ultimately let Venom become a hero.

Agent Venom also joins superhero teams like the Secret Avengers and Thunderbolts.

Where would he fit in:

I feel like Flash needs to be in a Secret Avengers movie. Having a team of spec ops heroes will definitely be different from the Avengers we have seen up and till now. Acting in the shadows, saving the world with out being seen. I feel this would be a perfect movie for Characters like Captian America, Punisher, Agent venom, Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Black Panther and War machine.

If this is not the case, how mind blowing will it be if marvel introduces the multiple different versions of heroes in the Multiverse of Marvel, and Agent Venom is one of these versions. Maybe a crossover event like the Spider verse saga to help Agent Venom to the MCU... (Maybe in that same light a crossover event to introduce the X-men and Fantastic Four to the MCU... No pressure Kevin Feige).

The other way Agent Venom could be introduced could be in a Venom Sequel. Rumor has it that Tom Holland could make an appearance in the up and coming Venom movie, if this is true then Venom is part of the MCU Cannon which opens doors to a Spider-man & Venom Crossover. How cool would it be to see the two face off against different off springs of the Venom Symbiote? Flash could be introduced as the new version of anti Venom or as I like to call him Agent Anti Venom. He could then be in a Venom sequel movie where Eddie Brock Venom, Flash Thompson Agent Anti Venom and Spider-man take on Carnage.
