Is Your Mind Holding You Back From Success?steemCreated with Sketch.

Are you working hard but somehow don't reach any goals? Do you feel like you do everything you're supposed to but it seems like the world has something against you? Then you should read this...

Everyone knows their mind is like a computer, controlling your body and actions. Little do they know it controls their future too. If I could recommend a must-read book, it would be The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It is all about how the mind works and how you can better your life by only changing your thoughts. It is the Secret to Life.

Still the question remains. Is your mind holding you back?

Your mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Here are 5 examples of the most common affirmations your brain makes you believe. And what the mind believes, the body achieves...

  • Thinking you can't do better
  • Letting your motives trick you
  • Giving up too quick
  • You are too easy on yourself
  • You are way too hard on yourself

Sound familiar?

A famous saying I always rely on is, "He who say he can and he who says he can't, are both usually right"

It comes to the conclusion, that starting your journey to success, you first need to think positive, NO MATTER WHAT!

Another famous saying by Sylvester Stallone,"What did I say to you kid, it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how WINNING is done!"

Just Like Your Body, Your Mind Needs Training Too

How do I train my mind, you ask?

  • Visualize daily - "To bring anything into your life, imagine it's already there."
  • Staying affirmative on your decisions - "Living a constant process of deciding what we are going to do."
  • Meditate and physically exercise daily - Walking, meditation and physical exercises
  • Training your brain with activities - Exercises for your brain and daily reading

So, what are you going to do?

I am going to read the book. Thanks for the post.

It'll change the way you see life, you'll be more positive

"Every thought of yours is a real thing—a force." (I already started reading the book :P)

That's the way to go! xD

... its all in the mind! great post

such a beautiful written and motivating post thanks for sharing valuable advice.

Thank you! Anytime.

Great minds think alike... xD

Motivation is always appreciated. Good work there, Megan!
I have not read the book but have seen the film/video. The mind is indeed an extremely potent tool. And the mind is a flow of thoughts just as the river is a flow of water. The river can only be defined by the quality of the water. Similarly, the quality & intensity of thoughts would naturally determine the quality of the mind. As every action is necessarily preceded by thought, it is but evident that our thoughts create our reality.
Not sure if you have seen / heard Abraham Hicks [Esther Hicks] videos on Youtube. Do check them out. Very inspiring & gives more clarity on the subject in term of techniques. She has been speaking on the subject for around 20 years before Rhonda Byrne came up with 'The Secret'. Byrne in fact attended Hicks workshops & consulted with her when she was working on 'The Secret'. Hicks in turn draws her inspiration from Jane Roberts. Though in a sense, Napolean Hill may have been the earliest writers on LOA.
