Procrastination VS The Dream

If you have a dream and you don’t know where to start, just start by doing the simple tasks you know how to do. Planting a seed is making your intentions public, so that your vision has the space to manifest.

Writing the first chapter to your book, designing a model for your product, calling up friends if they are interested in your business venture. These small call-to-actions make the difference between you having an idea in your head, to having an idea that has been brought into reality. Just by planting a few seeds leaves the door open for opportunity.

Procrastination and distractions keep you focused on admiring the fruits of others, and leaving your seeds dry. Procrastination is the weeds in your garden, inconvenient, distracting and time wasting. Sometimes procrastination prevents us from even planting a seed. I have definitely been there, and I know I am not the only one.

The internal battle you have with yourself, when you know exactly what you want, and what you need to do. But a block of self doubt and a larger block of fear challenges you before you can even begin.

We are all dreamers. While some have the courage and confidence to go full steam ahead, others have to start with planting and watering one seed at a time. No matter how fast or slow the journey is, we all will be faced with hurdles that will enable us to procrastinate, and sometimes positive thinking is not enough. But the power of love is greater, the love for your dream, the love for yourself is the magic that will make your seeds flourish. Procrastination can’t win, when you love your dream and yourself enough.
