Stressed? Help yourself out - Go with your hobbies and interests

In today's world most people can get caught up in the fast pace of life and the changes that each day can bring. With political and economic factors constantly feeding their way into our homes it's important to grasp what's really worth your time.

In recent years I made a decision to completely rid my attention from generic mainstream television as I felt the content was surpressive and negative to say the least. That's not to say it's not important to see what's going on in the world, just not as frequently as I was doing - which let's face it was daily.

With alternative media stations available today never before have we been able to actively seek exactly what we're looking for. Being a product , a story, a film , an opinion, advice ....the list is a very long one .

Since being active in alternative media and actually using the right hemisphere of the brain instead of the left that is too frequently used for order, routine and rules. It's interesting to see how this reacts to finding content as apposed to being fed content I've noticed several positives in my life.

My hobbies have grown and my ability in my hobbies has improved drastically. I believe the main reason is making the decision to want to improve and better yourself. With tutorials endless amounts of styles in video format I was able to find exactly what I wanted.

Being a guitar player I can honestly say without videos from the internet I wouldn't have ever made the grounds I have reached today. Education never ends, and what's more you shouldn't have to pay for it! Despite how governments try to make you believe this to be true, I studied at university and learnt the long way.

Truth is if you want to learn something there's absolutely no reason why you cannot better yourself so to speak.

I decided long ago to stop wasting my time in television that I was becoming indulged with , such as what characters were up to in the latest soap opera which is never a true reflection on life. I found myself being caught up in Minor things whilst letting the major things in my life become secondary!

Stress/depression/anxiety can all be helped if we choose to help ourselves. Instead of a pill which will ultimately numbs your senses and kills creativity, choosing to actively better yourself can be the best medication ever taken! Exercise releases so many endorphins in essence it gives you a natural high from the flow of serotonin which elevates mood and productivity. Using the left hemisphere of the brain more frequently you'll be amazed at the results!

I feel for people who haven't any hobbies or pastimes, as without my sports and music I would be very frustrated. What tends to happen when new hobbies and pastimes are found is an open door to a flood of information and new communities. Like minded people who are motivated and seeking to help each other out, like attracts like!

More importantly is knowledge ! With exercise - comes a hunger for new food to help you rest grow and recouperate! The snowball effect multiplies and suddenly new routines become the ordinary, your able to reflect and see how far you have come! Knowing whilst many others dwell over what they could have done with their lives in their sofas , your living the life you want to the full!
