International refugee crisis. What is happening?

Hey guys.

I was just wondering about the ongoing refugee crisis in Europe. During past two years I was seeing a neverending stream of families and individuals doing everything they can, just to get a better, safer life in central Europe. News about the occuring migration were live 24/7 and it was actually hard to think about anything but this unfortunate events. Republic of Slovenia, even decided to build a barbed fence along our southern border which really made it look like we are fighting a war and hot helping human beings.

Because almost none of the refugees asked to stay in Slovenia (they moved onwards), media lost attention and we know very little to what has happened to those families in need of help.

Are they any news on how people are doing, how they are settling in Germany, Austria, Italy, Scandinavia and Benelux? Are there any programs helping them integrate? The subject surely went quickly from being the only news, to not being news at all..
