Great post and mention of bioindividuality. Like you, I still think it is weird that people don't like spicy foods (btw I think hot spice (capsaicin) is used in so many cultures because it is part of an evolutionary process and has beneficial properties i.e. survival of the fittest- but we will save that for another post) . I think the blue/black and white/gold dress and now Yanny/Laurel are excellent examples to reflect on when you have an argument with someone who can't see your point of view. Because in your mind your are correct and in their mind they are correct. So next time you have an a disagreement with someone. Stop and think that they may not see or hear it the same way. Therefore agree to disagree-- now I just say ok you see white/gold and I see blue/black or now you hear Yanny and I hear Laurel.
