This reads like poetry meets prose meets nature writing. It's great how you weave your words together. I notice a contrast between the two paragraphs. For a while, I thought you were going to continue with that elegiac tone, but the different approaches worked quite well.
What a star you are for visiting my blog and leaving such a wonderful comment! Thank you for teaching me a new adjective too. I had to look it up :) Despite my underlying sorrow and dread, the beauty of the stage on which this little sojourn played out, made it difficult to focus on future tragedy. Plus, I like to see the humour and positivity in all things, except when I don't ;)
