To Turn Back Time..

in #life6 years ago (edited)

5 years.. 5 years since my grandfather left.. His legacy is still here.. His memories are still shared.. His stories are still spoken.

Do you ever just wish you could go back in time and just be that child again.. before the stress before the loss.

I wish I could go back even just for a day to sing up at the pulpit with you again...

Here I am 5 years later and my family is finally doing okay. I am up for a management position after 2.5 years at the same place. Your great granddaughter is in dance and shes really good and is getting those high scores in school.. Your great grandson is really smart.. you would laugh at the sound effects he makes for every story he tells. I wish they could just know you. To have the same effect you had on my life. To listen to the stories of your travels.. To witness your walk with God.

I posted a blog about the church you were the pastor in, It was shared and commented on and I was amazed at how much that little church in West Bainbridge effected so many. The stories people tell me of the pastor that mentored them, how much you were there for them, the pastor who prayed for them. You were such an incredible person. You may be gone from this world grandpa, but you are certainly not forgotten.
