How Cheap It is to Live in the Philippines

in #life7 years ago

Philippines is a home to millions (if not billions) of Filipinos and other nationalities who just retired from their jobs.

But why are they really choosing the Philippines? Aside from the beautiful tourist destinations like Boracay, we also have a lower cost of living.

Let me tell you why.

For $1 (USD), you can either buy 2 liters of Coca-Cola, a chicken fillet rice meal in McDonald's, or a shirt.

For $10, you can already buy a great meal in a known restaurant, three tickets for a ride in the MOA Eye which is the biggest ferris wheel in the country (see pic above), or buy a very basic phone (those with keypads.)

For $100, you can enroll to a local government university for two years, pay for all your house bills for a month such as electricity, water, and internet, or avail a two-way trip in the airlines to a local tourist spot.

There are so many things you can do in the Philippines even if you have little money to spend. More importantly, make sure you make the most out of your visit here.
