I've been looking to get a dog since long time ago, never managed to find the right one, each time I was searching breeds I changed my mind. First I wanted a Labrador, few days later I changed my mind after I saw Beagle in the neighbourhood, again after a few days of searching and trying to figure out what I should get I changed my mind again and I wanted a German Sheperd while at the same time my sister was insisting to get a Husky. After some research I decided that we can't get the Husky it's too hot here where I live and I tryed to find the best reasons to get the German Sheperd, reasons that I was going to share with the familly before adopting one.

10 reasons to get a German Sheperd!

Here's what I found about them:

  1. German Sheperds enjoy learning and they learn everything pretty easy, that's why even the police use them.
  2. The dog sheds seasonally, so you don't have to worry that much about grooming him.
  3. They are very active dogs, and looking at my belly now I could use a workout buddy.
  4. They live long around 12 years.
  5. They are very good guard dogs.
  6. German Sheperds are one of the top smartest dog breeds.
  7. You can take them out any season they are like an all season type of dog.
  8. It's a familly dog, good for your children, they will exhibit extreme loyalty.
  9. German Sheperds usually make easy friends with other pets.
  10. They usually love who you love, they follow your lead.

These are lovely dogs, particularly if you have children - as you say. A German Shepherd trained well is a great child minder! Except it can't pack a lunchbox :)

I love the way they look and how fast they grow, you won't even recognize the dog on how fast he grows over 3-4 weeks. And their loyalty.
