He was one of the hostages that could be seen with his arm partially blown off when he was captured on October 7th. Remarkable he was alive all these months in that condition up until he was killed.

According to eyewitnesses, while Hamas was throwing grenades into the bomb shelter he was in, he was throwing them back out. Unfortunately one of them exploded damaging his arm.

His parents spoke at the DNC.

"Goldberg-Polin, alongside hostages Eden Yerushalmi and Carmel Gat, were slated to be released as part of the “humanitarian category” based on the framework Israel and Hamas agreed to in early July, the officials said.

“Our prime minister delayed it,” one of the Israeli officials said. “It’s way too late for the six who have been killed, but it’s time to reach an agreement.”"

"A hero's story! 🙌 This is a powerful reminder of the courage and resilience of those affected by conflict. I'm in awe of Goldberg-Polin's bravery in throwing grenades back at Hamas, even when his own life was on the line. It's heartbreaking that he didn't get to come home to his family as planned 😔. His parents speaking out is a testament to their love and advocacy for peace. Let's keep sharing stories like this one and working together towards a more peaceful world 🌎!
