MY INTRODUCTION TO STEEMIT.

I am Amaka an African young lady precisely, Nigerian. I am single. I was working in a Microfinace Bank as the Bank's Secretary before I felt sick some years back which made me to be on a sick bed till now.

I love reading, learning and making new friends.

I joined steemit through a friend @maxdevalue who heard about my illness and came to visit me miles away, and as a result of our conversations, I told him how life is becoming bitter day after day for me, as a young banker that was just starting a life, all of a sudden I lost my two legs; unable to make use of my two legs. As I’m writing now, I’m writing to my world right from my sick bed, every day lying on my sick bed at the mercy of doctors who are yet to come up with any answer to my illness, I was dropped out by institutionalized financial institution due to my sudden predicament, this was when my friend @maxdevalue started encouraging me by telling me that all hope are not lost, that I still have billions of good souls out there that can still be my friends, that’s when he told me about steemit community.

AIM: Instead of being in hopelessness and anguish day after day, I think that being on steemit might give me the opportunity to engage my mind positively by interacting with my world of endless possibilities.
I hope to contribute my own quota in anyway I can, meet new friends all over the world who can be there for me.
Also, as I was told that steemit reward people through good effort that they put in writing good and informative posts; well for now I may not have the opportunity to walk down the streets of Nigeria for informations but I’m hopeful to give some hope to those who might be going through the ugly path in life like me, and I hope to get support and rewards at least to keep the breath of life till I receive my miracle which is the restoration of my health.

Thanks!

Love you all.

Kindly follow me to know me better @mymissy.

Hello mymissy! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!
