Hello traveling friends of this community! How are you? I hope everything is going well. In this post, I want to tell you what I did yesterday when I took a trip to Bassano del Grappa, a beautiful town in the province of Vicenza, famous not only for the production of grappa, a liquor often enjoyed with coffee, but also for its ancient history.

I’ve been to Bassano several times, both for tourism and work, and I have to say that what pleases me is that every time I find more and more people, always more tourists eager to visit this beautiful village.

A village with an ancient history that dates back to Roman times, but what made Bassano famous not only in Italy but all over the world is its Ponte degli Alpini, designed by the renowned architect Andrea Palladio in 1569, a wooden bridge that crosses the Brenta River and has become the symbol of the city over the years.

On Sunday, even though it wasn’t a particularly nice day, as you can see from the photos, there were quite a few people taking selfies and photos at every spot in the city. I also visited the tourist attractions of Bassano, while in the main square there was an event raising awareness of the work the Red Cross does around the world.
In fact, one of the unique features of Bassano del Grappa is the tasting of grappa, as the town is home to one of the oldest distilleries in Italy, where you can take tasting tours organized by the distillery itself.

The town is also famous for its ceramics. Indeed, there was an ancient art of ceramic production here, which unfortunately has been somewhat lost over the years.
Sadly, there were many things to do in Bassano, but I didn’t have much time, so I just took a quick tour to snap some photos to share with you here. I hope you like them.

But to be honest, I’m planning to visit other cities in Italy to take more photos to share with you here. In the meantime, I wish you all a great day! See you soon!
