HBOโs ๐ง๐:๐ก๐ takes the excellence of Nic Pizzolattoโs original show and amps it up with a story that invokes ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ง๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด (๐ญ๐ต๐ด๐ฎ), ๐๐ป๐๐ผ๐บ๐ป๐ถ๐ฎ (๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฎ) and The X Files, plus a jump scare that gives the โSloth-Sequenceโ from David Fincherโs ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ป (๐ญ๐ต๐ต๐ฑ) a serious run for its money.
Relative newcomer Kali Reis is a revelation and more than holds her own against heavyweights Jodie Foster and John Hawkes.
Incoming showrunner Issa Lรณpezโ provocative and captivating vision makes me curious about her earlier work. Shame on me for not being aware of this exciting new voice before.
