Embrace and Love, sculpture

It seems that there is a great fondness for sculpture in Buzios, as in this house that has a very beautiful one in the front garden.
Standing proud and weathered in its garden setting, the sculpture captures the profound simplicity and depth of human connection, bearing the marks of both the artist’s tools and the passage of time, the wear and tear having only added character to his work, lending it a rustic charm and a sense of timeless endurance.
Set against a backdrop of lush greenery and under the watchful eye of a decorative giraffe, the sculpture becomes part of its surroundings.

This piece featuring two human figures in a close, tender embrace. Their slightly abstracted forms merge into one another, suggesting a unity that transcends individuality. The artist’s expert hand is evident in the detailed of their features and the folds of their clothing, but the overall style remains expressive rather than strictly realistic.
